Meet Richard Norley Head Creative

 

Richard Norley has been the MD and Creative Director of Jump, one of the UK’s leading television design companies, since 1996. He has been a television motion graphic designer for over 25 years and during that time Richard has been instrumental in shaping the look of entertainment and sport title sequences in the UK; creating the brand for a number of landmark UK programmes from Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and the X Factor to ITV’s coverage of the Football World Cup and Rugby World Cup.

Richard started his career as a graphic designer for the BBC working on ‘Breakfast Time’ and ‘Newsnight’ before joining ITN. During his eleven years at ITN he worked as a team leader on ‘News At Ten’ then designed the critically acclaimed on screen look for ITN’s ‘Channel 4 News’. Richard moved from ‘Channel 4 News’ to set up and run ITN’s commercial design department, IDF in 1990.

In 1994, Richard won a BAFTA Award for Excellence in Graphic Design for his work on the groundbreaking television series ‘The Day Today’. Richard ran IDF for the next five years before co-founding Jump Design and Direction in 1996.
