Noel Edmonds’ Kiwi Adventure

Client: ITV

Noel Edmonds’ Kiwi Adventure is a new ITV primetime documentary airing on Fridays at 9pm.

The TV legend moved to New Zealand with his wife Liz in 2019. They set up a new home in the South Island of NZ in a tiny town called Ngatimoti, purchasing an estate that includes a restaurant, a pub and a vineyard.

The series finds them setting about their second year of business with plans to finish a New Sanctuary/Spa and grand designs to build the country’s first Energy Garden in their backyard.

Jump was commissioned by ITV to create the title card animation and map sequences.

Harry Handyside – Art Director at Jump:

“For the titles, we leaned into a playful, painterly aesthetic inspired by New Age artwork, both for its distinctive visual style and as a nod to Noel’s alternative worldview. The landscape is rich, lush, and slightly surreal, echoing the beauty of New Zealand while adding a soft, almost dreamlike filter to the environment. While there are subtle touches inspired by indigenous art, the overall look leans more toward a modern, stylized interpretation.

A key visual moment comes from the animation itself, as we slowly pull the camera back through this idyllic scene, we reveal the massive, bold text filling the valley. It’s an intentional contrast: the peaceful landscape gradually gives way to something much louder and more self-aware, mirroring Noel’s larger-than-life personality landing in the middle of this calm, spiritual setting.

To build the sequence we started by developing a cohesive set of painterly landscape images that captured the New Age-inspired look we were after. Everything was brought into Photoshop, where we broke the scenes apart into layered elements – such as mountains, trees and buildings, to prepare for 3D composition.

These layers were then arranged in 3D space inside After Effects, allowing us to create parallax and a sense of real depth. The camera move was kept simple but effective: a slow pullback through the scene that gradually reveals the oversized title, giving the reveal a cinematic sense of scale and contrast.”
