Meet Callum O’Reilly Senior Designer

Before being lured to Jump by Richard Norley (with doughnuts and the promise of TV title sequences) Callum won a Gold Promax Award for a charity advertising campaign in 2010, beating stiff competition from over 250 other students who entered the nationwide competition.

Fresh from graduating Ravensbourne with a 1st in Motion Graphics, Callum joined the company in 2011. His first big project was ‘Williams – The Car That We Built’ working with Russell Mann. A baptism of fire! Callum says he learned more about After Effects in those 3 weeks than in 3 years at college!

Over the years there have been a few perks for Callum, including meeting some famous faces such as Sir Ian McKellen at the Vicious after party – who according to Callum “Floated over in the middle of the party to say Hi”. Also Alan Carr at the shoot for “Chatty Man”, Jessica Hynes for “Up the Women” and working with a real life magician for ‘Now You see it’.

Since his early days as a Junior Designer, Callum has gone on to work on some of the country’s most well known TV shows including ‘BBC’s Sport Relief’, ‘Vicious’ and ‘Rio Paralympics 2016’. He worked his way up to be the Lead Designer on a full channel brand for British Forces Broadcasting Services new channel ‘Forces TV’ and since 2014 has created the event branding for the BT Sport Industry Awards.
