The Sport Podcast Awards 2022 winners are revealed

This week the winners were revealed for the Sport Podcast Awards 2022. The virtual ceremony, hosted by England rugby star James Haskell and NFL Network broadcaster Colleen Wolfe, celebrated the best of the best in the sports podcasting world.

Jump created the logo and brand identity for the awards back in April 2021. You can read all about the design philosophy here.


Callum O’Reilly – Senior Design at Jump:

“For this year’s online ceremony we delivered a package of graphics and animations to be used in the show and for the winners to share on their social media channels. We created a ‘medallion’ sticker for the winners to overlay on their show profile artwork. This will be a great way to expand brand awareness of the awards as it will be viewable by all listeners on all platforms.

The medallion was created by rotating the logo waveform into a circle. The waveform undulates as it animates and is used in different ways to wipe from the logo to the category title, winner’s name and lastly back to the logo. The animation is designed to be short and to work as a loop. This is so that when you see it on social media, it continues to play and you get all of the information in a small amount of time.”

The animations were delivered to the SPA team as a kit of parts to give them maximum flexibility and allow them to add information, change timings and create new versions.
